Track Review: One Cure For Man - Humble

'One Cure For Man' is the brainchild of multi-

instrumentalist, James Parkinson. Starting life in Leister as a band in 2009, James took One Cure For Man on as a solo project in 2012, before relocating to his hometown of Lancashire in 2014. With 4 strong albums and multiple singles under his belt, James' music goes from strength to strength.

Poetically versed, the lyrics really hit home on this track. The song addresses the issue of moving on after death, whilst appreciating and learning from the past. The track is arranged elegantly, with multi-talented James taking vocals as well as playing Guitars, Bass, Percussion and Keyboards. James' brother, Ben, tracked the drums on this piece.

James' instrumental dexterity shines through in his virtuosic, expressive guitar solo, where the timbre of the acoustic rhythm guitar complements the lead perfectly.

The subsequent music video for this track is particularly meaningful, as it pays tribute to James' late grandfather, 'Grandad Bob', who was a Japanese prisoner of war between 1941 and 1945.

Humble is a soulful song, from a passionate artist, played with feel and artistry. A song that possesses the unique ability to make you feel so uplifted and optimistic about the future, yet so perfectly reflective about the past.
